An erotic landscape where the couple are the geography of the landscape itself. You can see sky, cliffs, sand dunes, rocks, a beach, a tree, a cave, the sea and a phallic looking lighthouse. But, what else do you see?

It was very challenging to paint this picture, and took a long time to design as it’s technically two paintings in one, but I’m delighted with it, as it is both an erotic image and a landscape. I decided to use soft lighting within the painting as strong sunlight and shadow would have detracted from the subtle details that just a fine line, or hint of colour or shade depicted. It’s called “Tree of life” because although the tree in the painting is the woman’s arm and hand, the tree is also situated infront of where their bodies are joined, where they are creating life.

Somehow I think the couple depicted in the painting are called Cliff and Sandy........
