An exploration into the patterns made by bright sunshine reflecting on water. After masking off the “sun stars”, acrylic paint was applied to the paper then cling-film formed and moulded over it to create horizontal water shapes. After this dried more paint was applied by brush to accentuate the water dips and eddies. Only when this section was properly dry and of a suitable depth of colour, was the masking fluid removed. To soften the edges of the pure white stars, white oil pastel was lightly rubbed around to blur the edges.
