Just around the coast from Lands End where the sea meets the sky and the salty lichens and aged moss cling robustly to the ancient Cornish rocks; the far headlands jut out to sea and the heather and bracken fade to their autumn russets. Most of this painting was painted with a brush, but splattered paint was applied in the foreground to emulate the sporadic detail of heather and lichens.
