A medieval French village where time almost stands still. Nothing changes much in this ancient limestone landscape of sun and shadows on deeply cobbled streets with the aged stone archway standing proud, the hidden recesses of doorways and tightly shuttered windows, where the decrepit and foot worn stone steps still climb up to an abode and the young cat sits quietly in the warmth of the bright sunlight, listening to the gentle buzz of life in the near distance through the archway, where time moves slowly and quietly on. The old stonework was created by the use of splatter on damp paper, giving the illusion of old and crumbling masonry, dimpled and hollowed with age.
